So I took a picture of them.
And then today, I bought them drugs. You know. Just in case.
It's not even 10:00 and I'm already in bed. Christmas is tiring!
Tonight, we did Christmas with the extended family, as always. Little different this year, because my uncle and his fiancee had to leave earlyish to get home because they're doing Christmas with her family tomorrow and no one wanted them driving late at night. So we did sort of an afternoon dinner. I had brass ensemble rehearsal at 1, which I left early, and then we ate at 2. Then we did presents, then I went back to church for mass, and we all re-convened at my grandparents' house after church for a little bit.
It felt weird. For as long as I can remember, I would spend the end of communion during Christmas Eve services thinking about the dinner and gift giving that was coming. I know, I know, it's supposed to be a time of reflection. But you get hungry! And I realized I didn't have that to look forward to tonight. Because we had already done it.
It was just a strange thing, to do something for years and years and years, and then sort of tweak it, so it's still the same, but just a little tiny bit not the same.
I brought my cats to my parents' house for the holiday. So there are now five cats in the house. But you only ever see three of them. So it's not that big of a deal. Pippin walks around like he owns the place, but Cadu just hides in the closet. I close the door to my old bedroom at night, so he feels safe enough to come out then. He's a big wuss.
And now, I shall sleep, because 7:30 church is very early in the morning. Yes, I get to go twice. So lucky.

You know, I think this month, I have surpassed the number of posts I made in the past 4 months.
I spent today pretending to work on my Secured Transactions Outline and failing miserably. I'm not sure what I'm doing. I need to study for this final. To study, I need something to study from. Thus, I need to get off my ass and put together study materials.
I put tabs on things today. Does that count?
I also read through the TSA guidelines for what I can and can't bring with me on the airplane this weekend. Lipstick? Yep. Lip gloss? Nope. Spear guns? Nope. Not that I own a spear gun, nor would I know what to do with one. So I emptied my backpack of all contraband. Gel pens? Probably not allowed. Hand lotion? Nope. Shiny lip gloss? Negative. (Yes, I know I can actually take all three of those things if I put them in a bag to be individually inspected, but I figure if I don't NEED it, I'm not dealing with that. I can handle using substandard pens for a few days).
I also photographed my Christmas tree. I like my tree a lot this year. It's nothing special, but it makes me happy. It also appears to have a lot of ornaments on it. But that's because half the tree has no ornaments on it. And because all the breakable ornaments are higher up, away from little kitty paws.
And to finish off this rambly entry, a beautiful song. (Thanks, Kyle!)
I was just ordering some pictures from Snapfish and I had to share some of the cuter shots that I came across. This is my parents' dog, Bruno as a pup. He's now 165 pounds of slobbering love, but still just as sweet. And he still has that slightly vacant stare.
